Sept. 10, 2023 - Wrapping up America's Consequence VFX

America's Consequence has been such a fun project with a lot of unique challenges. It has definitely been a great exercise in screen replacement. Being organized goes a long way in making sure things go as smoothly as possible. We ended up having to work in After Effects for the majority of the project because our Nuke licenses ended and we had to wait until the fall quarter to get them renewed. The concepts of visual effects are largely transferable between software, so it was not too big of an issue. In some cases, the built-in effects in After Effects helped to sell the believability of some of our screen replacement CRT TV shots.
